Dell Perc H710 HDD spindown

I'm using the Dell Perc h710 (LSI controller) as my raid card on my Dell Optiplex 5050 MT (used as a home lab server, mostly idle) to manage a raid1 array made of 2 IronWolf Pro 10TB and a 512mb SSD as a cache. The purpose of this is to reduce the power consumption of the raid array by spinning down the HDD when they're not in use.

The software I'm using to control the raid card is MegaRaid Cli. After enabling and setting up CacheCade + setting up a spindown time after 30 min of inactivity I can't see the HDD going "Idle" according to my socket power meter. After reading the documentation, I'm still not sure how to spindown the HDD as the settings are already in place.

It there anything that I've missed?

After some digging, it looks like MegaCli versions that are newer than 4.6 stopped supporting this feature

./MegaCli64 -LDSetPowerPolicy -Maximum -L0 -a0

since it was creating issues in some data centres where HDDs would drop out of the array and cause data corruption. More details here:  https://www.broadcom.com/support/knowledgebase/1211161495594/what-are-the-megacli-command-line-options-for-the-dimmer-switchf
