How do I get rid of the "D" partition on my harddrive?
Don't need a 'data' partition. Want a single, large "C" drive. How do I get rid of the "D" partition?

Single LARGE MBR partitions haven't been the case for many years now. You do not have MBR MSDOS and a single Drive. If you arbitrarily nuke a partition you may become un bootable and un recoverable FOREVER.

If you really want to do this I recommend that you use a program such as EASUS Partition master. There is a free/trial version. Deleting Partitions - EaseUS Partition Master Manual
You can then extend the C partition into the unallocated space
