Need help with Windows Event Log on my 17R4 1080GTX

So my laptop has not been running well lately.  Games are not running as fast as they should be.  I've been getting random blue screens and I have a Temp Monitor that alerts me when my CPU temps get too high.

I've tried everything from updating drivers, the bios and even reinstalling windows.

So then I tried to left the back of the laptop off the table and for some reason the stuttering in games gets even worse even though the temps go down!

I'm starting to get pretty frustrated with my 17R4. After running out of ideas I decide to check the Event Viewer in Windows and noticed a lot of the below messages, usually when I'm playing PC games:

Kernel-Processor-Power (Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Processor-Power)

The speed of processor 3 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 71 seconds since the last report.

I'm fairly certain this is related to the problems I'm having with this laptop.

Does anyone have any ideas?  I'm starting to think this is a hardware issue related to the heatsink\CPU\Wattage.
