Alienware Graphics Amplifier USB Fail

Just got a graphics amplifier for my alienware 15 R2 and though the video card portion works great the USB hub portion of the AGA does not. The usb ports get power but no data. At first I thought this might be because of an issue with the AGA so I replaced it.... same issue. Also, the device manager has come up with a Unknown USB Deivce (Device Descriptor Failed). No amount if remove, disable, or reinstall of windows fixes this issue.

This is quite annoying as the laptop and aga seem pretty cool and run quite well...however, I dislike not having the aga work as a true dock it is suppose to be.
